Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be comfortable in dealing face to face with customers, helping and guiding them through the myriad of products on offer. You will develop an outstanding knowledge of product, display standards and replenishment routines.
Previous retail experience would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be provided.
This position is based on 15 hours per week over 3 days, between the hours of 11.00am and 4.30pm and will include weekend and bank holiday working.

W J Aldiss Limited is one of East Anglia's leading independent retailers and has been established for over 130 years. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and we are looking for a full-time Warehouse Assistant (Carpets) to be part of our successful business.
Based at the Distribution Centre in Fakenham, you will primarily be working as part of the warehouse team within the Carpet section. The main duties will include:
• Assisting in receiving and dispatching goods;
• Assisting with paperwork to check against carpet fitter’s diaries and maintain a record of items that have been fitted;
• Precutting carpets to plans;
• Co-operating and communicating with carpet fitter’s and ensuring that the right items are collected for each fitting appointment;
• Attending and assisting carpet fitters on fitting appointments when necessary;
• Assisting with movement of medium/large items of stock around the warehouse which will involve lifting, using a forklift or other aids;
• Assisting with loading and unloading goods from vehicles/vans;
• Liaising with the Carpet department team at the stores;
• Providing exceptional customer service with politeness and professionalism;
• General warehouse duties as and when required;
• General housekeeping duties in and around company premises.
This role will include lifting, heavy lifting and manual tasks on a daily basis.
What we are looking for:
• A positive and motivated team player;
• Ability to complete administration paperwork in a timely and accurate manner;
• A full car driving licence is essential;
• A forklift licence would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
This is a Monday to Friday position working 40 hours per week between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Only very occasional Saturday working will be required. Bank Holiday working is not required.
