FURNITURE DELIVERY

Shop from home, order online, we deliver.

Our stores are now open and as always aldiss.com is here to take your order.

To keep our customers and team members safe, we have made some changes to how we deliver.

We offer a furniture delivery service to selected postcodes in the UK. Our local service is £35 for any number of furniture items. We offer an extended service for £79/ £99 outside Norfolk for orders over £750. Please see below for a list of postcodes. 

Our delivery team offer a two person service which includes delivery to your room of choice, unpacking and removing packaging where required. Please note disposal of old furniture is not included in the delivery cost. Please speak to our furniture team to enquire about this service when you are contacted about your order. 

Please note we are currently unable to delivery large furniture items to any postcode not listed however some smaller items can be sent via courier so please contact us for a quote.

All National deliveries may still be a little delayed – subject to health restrictions being lifted. Normal dispatch times after this will apply from this date. You are still welcome to order but please check the estimated delivery date when you checkout to confirm you are happy before placing your order.  

A delivery charge will be shown on our checkout page before your payment is made. We will contact you to confirm all order details are correct before the order is processed. As much of our furniture and beds are specially ordered to suit your requirements, we quote a delivery lead time to indicate when the goods will be available. At this point you will be contacted and delivery to you will be arranged.

FURNITURE AND HOMEWARES COMBINED ORDERS

You will only be charged once, so if you want both homewares and furniture, we will ship your homewares first via our courier at no extra cost,

Please note that if you have homewares in your basket as well as furniture but are not within our listed postcode areas you will be unable to checkout your homewares order until all furniture has been removed from your basket, 

ULTRA LOW EMISSIONS ZONE (ULEZ) CENTRAL LONDON 

From 8th April 2019 Transport for London are introducing a new emissions charge for areas of central London. The new daily charge for entering this zone is £100 and will be additional to other delivery charges. The additional costs are set out below and it would depend on what your order contains as to which vehicle would be needed for delivery. Please contact us to discuss further. 

  • £12.50 for most vehicle types, including cars, motorcycles and vans (up to and including 3.5 tonnes)
  • £100 for heavier vehicles, including lorries (over 3.5 tonnes) and buses/coaches (over 5 tonnes)

For those who have ordered, or purchased items and were looking to refund or exchange:

We have committed to extend our refund and exchange policy for a further 14 days following the resumption of normal trading, as we are unable to process these during the period of closure.

If you wish to return and item and are unable to do so within the returns period due to the current Covid-19 situation please get in touch and we will do our best to help. 

We are happy to refund any item ordered on this website, in a fully re-saleable condition, if returned within 14 working days. Please notify us as soon as possible if you wish to return an item. Please repack your items in the packaging you received them and return to the address below. Please include your completed returns form (included in your initial delivery), this should include your name, contact details, order number & reason for return.

Due to hygienic or practical reasons, some items are excluded i.e. pillows/duvets and custom made or altered items. The amount refunded will be the price paid exclusive of delivery charges.

Here at Aldiss, we have spent many hours talking to our suppliers and couriers/carriers about packing and shipping our products so they arrive safely. However, occasionally things go wrong. If you open your order to find that the goods are not in a satisfactory condition, please contact us either by email at webenquiry@aldiss.com. All complaints must be received within 7 working days of delivery. You will have the option to request a replacement or receive a full refund inclusive of the delivery charge.

You can return your unwanted/damaged goods to one of our stores. Please ensure that you bring the order confirmation and dispatch note with you along with your completed returns form. Any refund will be processed to the same card used for payment, so please ensure you have this with you.

Once we have received your returned item(s), we will process a refund within 14 days. Please note that the card issuer may not display the refund against your account for a further 4 working days.

D E L I V E R Y     N O T E S



Under normal circumstances our standard delivery service requires a signature on receipt of the goods. All deliveries are currently contactless. Please use the delivery notes section to suggest a nominated safe place or neighbor. If you choose this option it is at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen deliveries, once the parcel has left our distribution center. If the carrier is unable to leave the goods, they will leave a card and ask you to make contact.

If delivery is attempted unsuccessfully more than once

If no one is available to take receipt of the goods, they will be returned to the courier depot and a card left. One further attempt to deliver the items is then made and a card left. If the second attempt is unsuccessful, the goods will be taken back to the courier depot. It is then up to you, the customer, to arrange to collect the item from the courier depot. Following the date of the second delivery attempt, you, the customer, have five days to contact the courier and arrange to pick up your consignment. After the five days the goods will be returned to us, WJ Aldiss. Any further costs incurred as a result of this will be payable by you, the customer.

Receiving your delivery

On delivery from the courier, please inspect your order. If the parcel does not appear to be in perfect condition please describe any damage on the courier's paperwork when signing for the item. If the item is damaged it is advisable that you refuse delivery. In this situation please contact us as soon as possible. 

When purchasing items online, you can now collect your goods from either of our stores, or our distribution center. We will always try to get your goods ready for you as soon as possible, however please allow a maximum of five working days to allow us to transfer the stock to the correct location. We will notify you at the time of processing your order when the goods will be ready for collection.

When collecting your order please ensure you have your sagepay receipt or a form of identification with you. To avoid disappointment, please do not attempt to collect your purchases until you have been informed via phone, or email that it is ready.
