Metals and Metallics

The metallic trend has been around for a few seasons now, and there is no sign of its sparkle fading, writes Aldiss homewares buyer Laura Bell.

Glitz is no longer just for Christmas – now it’s an all-year-round perma trend.
I’m in the process of renovating my new home, and I’m definitely going to be adding some metallic pieces.

From open-plan city loft apartments to cosy country cottages, metallics look at home everywhere and add some everyday glamour. Mix and match your metals and really make a statement. We’re seeing a lot of copper this season, especially in lighting, dining and kitchenware, including salt and pepper shakers, cafetieres and even kettles and toasters.
