Aldiss will be at The Royal Norfolk Show 2016!

We are teaming up with the Eastern Daily Press to support ‘Tea with the EDP’ at stand 239. As well as helping the EDP to serve tea and cake to Royal Norfolk Show visitors, this year we are also inviting you to step inside the Aldiss Kitchen (also at stand 239) where our very good friend and chef Nathan Marley will show you how to create delicious and healthy recipes using fruit and veg from the local larder.

As well as whizzing up a Showstopper fruit smoothie, especially created for the Royal Norfolk Show, which will be available to try, he will be demonstrating the latest kitchen must-haves to liven up mealtimes – the spiralizer, which creates a delicious, low carb veggie alternative to pasta and noodles and a low fat fryer.

Nathan is a regular face on our screens thanks to his appearances on TV shopping
channels and he and his wife, Lisa, run The Cocoa Box, which holds inspiring cookery sessions around the country, including cupcake and chocolate making workshops.

The provenance of ingredients is important to us at Aldiss, we use locally sourced
produce wherever possible at our restaurants in the Fakenham and Norwich superstores, and we are proud supporters of local business and the community.

So it’s fitting that we have teamed up with popular Norwich pick your own, White House Farm, which will be supplying ingredients grown right on the doorstep for Nathan’s demonstrations. Going fruit picking is one of the highlights of the summer – those juicy ripe strawberries and plump raspberries taste even better when they’re straight off the stalk.

White House Farm, on Blue Boar Lane in Sprowston, has been welcoming fruit pickers through its gates since the 1970s, with the land being farmed for more than a century and a half.

Tea with the EDP is a hugely popular pitstop on a day out at the Norfolk show – don’t miss your FREE tea and coffee voucher in the EDP.

We look forward to seeing you at stand 239 on June 29th and 30th 2016.
