Sofas…so good

There’s an unmistakeable chill in the air, the leaves are on the turn, the clocks are about to go back and we’ve got a craving for a comforting bowl of apple crumble and custard.

Autumn is well and truly here and while we felt a pang of sadness as we packed away our shorts and flip flops for another year and dug out our old faithful woolly jumpers and scarves, we’re planning to embrace and make the most of the new season.

Autumn is a season of simple pleasures. A steaming bowl of vegetable soup with a chunk of bread. Treating yourself to a new pair of cheery mittens. Swapping Aperol Spritzes for hot chocolate.

With none of summer’s pressure to get out and make the most of the nice weather while it lasts, settling down on the sofa under your favourite blanket and catching up with that favourite TV series is a must!

If we had to pick our dream sofa to lounge on, it’s more than likely it would be from the beautiful Alexander and James range, which has just arrived online and in-store at our branches in Fakenham and Norwich.

The brand’s ethos is stylish laid back living. They take heritage styles, such as the classic Chesterfield, and give them a luxurious contemporary twist. But, importantly, they’re designed for comfort too, especially the Alexander & James Bailey 3 seater sofa which oozes style and comfort and so far is proving a hit with customers.

The Alexander & James range includes sofas, loveseats, statement chairs and footstools, which are hand crafted from hardwearing leather or textile (think plush jewel-toned velvets, sumptuous Damasks and cosy wools).

If you love the laid back, luxe vintage style, then the range of materials, designs, colours and patterns is perfect for mixing and matching.

We think the Abraham sofa would look great paired with the Stockholm chair which we can really imagine curling up in with a doorstep novel and tea on tap.

We also love the bold, curvy Jude armchair, with its stud detailing.

If you’re looking for the ultimate in comfort, how about a recliner? The Salisbury 2 seater leather sofa or chair offers both manual and power options, without compromising on style.

Have a large family but limited living space? Then a corner sofa is the stylish solution. We love the clean lines and Scandi chic of the Decadence chaise sofa, which we think would look right at home in a contemporary living room.
