Water & Solution Usage
Be aware that this machine uses a lot of water and needs frequent refilling and emptying, which also means going through a fair bit of carpet cleaning solution. This can add up quickly if you're deep cleaning large or heavily soiled areas.
Cleaning Results
So far, I’ve had great results on newer surfaces. For example, my car mats came up really clean — just slightly damp to the touch afterwards. I tested it on an old milk stain and general boot grime, and after a second rinse with clean water, the waste water ran clear, which was really satisfying.
Older Carpets
On my older bedroom carpet, there’s definitely an improvement, but even after three deep cleans (shampoo & scrub, followed by a vinegar rinse to prevent soap build-up), I’m still pulling out murky water. I think it’s just years of dirt that need more than one go.
Drying & Technique
Compared to my old Vax, this one leaves the carpet wetter, even after slow and repeated passes. Once the machine stops visibly sucking up water, I’m not sure what more I can do — but I might just need to fine-tune my technique a bit.
Upholstery Tool – Why I Chose This One
What really sets this cleaner apart is the upholstery attachment. It’s great for stairs and tight corners, getting right into the edges. I haven’t tested it on the car seats yet because I need an extension cable, but I’m looking forward to trying it out.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m happy with the cleaner. It works well on newer surfaces and edges, and I think it’ll continue to improve older carpets over time. Just be prepared for some extra effort with water refills and drying time — and maybe have a good extension lead ready!"
